AURA GARCIA
Aura Garcia, co-founder of Leadership and Consulting Solutions, is a results-driven consultant with over 20 years of experience in strategic planning, program development, and project management. Having served as the President of the Board of Public Works for the City of Los Angeles, Aura has successfully led multi-million-dollar projects and managed complex public works initiatives, making her a trusted expert in government operations, contract administration, and large-scale project delivery. Her academic credentials include a Master’s in Executive Leadership from USC and a Bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Child Development from CSUN, giving her a well-rounded perspective on organizational leadership and workforce development.
Aura’s bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, coupled with her extensive experience in public and non-profit sectors, allows her to effectively connect with diverse stakeholders and communities. She specializes in providing tailored solutions in strategic planning, grant writing, executive coaching, diversity and equity training, and community engagement strategies. Aura’s proven ability to drive organizational growth, streamline operations, and build collaborative partnerships ensures that clients receive high-quality, results-oriented consulting services designed to meet their specific goals and challenges.
TERESA VILLEGAS
Teresa Villegas, co-founder of Leadership and Consulting Solutions, is a high-performing professional with over 25 years of experience leading mid- to large-scale legislative agendas focused on community, policy, and public development projects, particularly in sustainability and conservation. She served as the Vice President of the City of Los Angeles Board of Public Works, overseeing a $1.8 billion budget and 5,500 employees.
Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships that achieve organizational goals. Her extensive experience in environmental policy, infrastructure development, and community advocacy includes significant contributions to legislation such as L.A. County’s Parks & Recreation Measure A , Los Angeles County Public Works, Stormwater Measure W, and numerous Statewide natural resource measures.
Ms. Villegas holds a B.S. in Business Management from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and an M.S. in Executive Leadership from the Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California. Additionally, she has held various appointments, including former Chair of Mujeres de la Tierra and California Senate Appointee to the State Parks Off Highway Vehicles Commission. She is currently chair of the LA County Watershed Stakeholder Committee for the Upper LA River.
